ECOLOGIST – AREA Environmental & Heritage Consultants

About AREA Environmental & Heritage Consultants Pty Ltd (AREA)

AREA is an environmental impact assessment company focussing on heritage and ecology projects. AREA works throughout eastern seaboard of Australia (Qld, NSW, ACT and Vic) predominantly in regional and remote areas. We undertake a range of ecological / biodiversity assessments and provide management advice. AREA projects appeal to our sense of adventure and on occasion projects take us to fun, challenging and very remote areas. We can offer a workplace which will not dominate every waking moment of your life (i.e. you will have a home life AND a working life), colleagues who will effectively listen to you, value your opinion and will also back you when you need it while you provide meaningful and relevant work related tasks. We do this by providing an environment where you will work in a workplace that helps you work well. The company is based in Dubbo NSW, a fast-growing country city where you can afford to buy a house, not get stuck in traffic and send your kids to good schools.

AREA may be for you if you enjoy a workplace that:

  • seeks out worthwhile projects and clients we like to work with;
  • has flexible work options;
  • is smaller (10-15 staff), well established and offers a good work environment;

  • offers guidance right through to your professional independence;
  • offers project involvement from inception to delivery; and

The Role

AREA is seeking field ecologists with consulting experience, who have a passion for inland regional / remote areas, rangelands and landscapes. This position is a permanent full-time role (part-time considered) based in Dubbo NSW.
