Ecological Impact Assessment
Clients for our biodiversity services come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We are contracted by government departments, mining, telecommunication, renewable energy sectors as well as linear infrastructure providers. The ambition or intent of these services we provide is to preserve and protect the environment for the benefit of future generations.
We deliver biodiversity assessment reports relevant to your assessment framework, including Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports. We can provide guidance on the appropriate assessment method for your project.
Our team of suitably qualified and experienced ecologists, botanists, and zoologists (including BAM Accredited Assessors) are well equipped to assess the intricacies of Australia's diverse landscapes. This is demonstrated by our specialist team being imbedded with NSW government and other larger environmental service provider.
AREA prides itself on providing advice about relevant environmental constraints early in the assessment process to allow our clients to manage their project designs to proceed to approval as efficiently as possible.
Offset Planning and Management
Our team is dedicated to helping client minimise the environment impact of their project. Where impact is unavoidable, we use legislative frameworks to facilitate adequate offsetting, using our expertise in state and national regulations for the residual impact. We adeptly navigate offset establishment complexities, guiding clients seamlessly through the process.
We have established relationships with relevant Government departments, which enable us to guide our clients through the legislative complexities of the process.
AREA boasts extensive biodiversity offsetting proficiency, with a team including five accredited Biodiversity Assessment Method assessors involved in establishing stewardship sites / Biodiversity Stewardship Areas. Our ecologists collaborate with entities like the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust and NSW Credit Supply Task Force, to assess private land for stewardship suitability, conservation potential, and credit supply in NSW.
